This year’s programme features over 25 films by Palestinian filmmakers, including the Dutch premieres of A State of Passion (dir. Carol Mansour and Muna Khalidi) and Once Upon a Time in Gaza (dir. Arab and Tarzan Nasser), as well as a Filmmaker in Focus series highlighting four works by director Kamal Aljafari and a special screening of From Ground Zero, a collection of 22 shorts from Gaza, with producer Rashid Masharawi joining remotely for a post-screening discussion.
Together with the rich schedule of films, the festival also welcomes writer and food activist Laila El-Haddad for a special culinary storytelling keynote. Alongside it, four workshops, five dialogue sessions, and our ever popular olive oil tasting comprise our largest parallel event programme to date, exploring a range of topics, from intergenerational memory to creative resistance and film pedagogy.
