The Touching on Taboo Topics programme brings together the works of filmmakers Mahdi Fleifel, Thekra Zohir Makalda, Rakan Mayasi, Dina Nasser, and Hadi Shatat, whose dramatic shorts pierce through imposed silences around sexuality, gender violence, reproductive rights, and substance use. Crossing class lines and family settings, their stories explore the effects of life under occupation and in the Diaspora on intimate bonds and social relations.
